Consent Policy
Consent is the infrastructure this entire organization runs on. Not a disclaimer, not a waiver, not a vibe. These are the rules, and agreeing to them is a condition of membership.
What consent means here
An enthusiastic, specific, sober, freely given yes, checked for continuously. A ticket is not consent. Membership is not consent. A past yes is not consent to a present anything. Nobody at a CARNALIFE event owes anybody else an interaction of any kind.
Five rules with no exceptions
- Consent can be withdrawn at any time. A word, a safeword, or a clear signal ends the activity immediately. There is no negotiation after a withdrawal. The house safeword is the traffic light: red means stop, yellow means slow down and check in, green means yes. Three taps on a partner or any surface is the same as red.
- Consent is specific. A yes to one activity, or one person, is not a yes to another. Not even in the same scene. Not even the same night.
- Consent requires capacity. Someone intoxicated past clear judgment cannot consent, no matter what they agreed to earlier in the evening.
- No means no, from everyone, every time. A refusal is never an opening move. Asking again after a no is itself a violation.
- The camera needs consent too. No photography or recording of anyone without the explicit consent of everyone in the frame, background included.
How it is enforced
Every event has staff whose job is this policy. Reports are taken seriously, handled discreetly, and the person who reports is protected. Violations end memberships, and revocation is permanent by default. There is no appeal; where a return is possible at all, it is through a full new vetting. The full enforceable document, including how to report and when a return is possible, is the Code of Conduct.
Common questions
- What happens if someone violates consent at an event?
- Staff intervene immediately, and a report is reviewed under the Code of Conduct. Consequences run from removal that night to permanent revocation of membership. The person who reports is protected, and the person named never learns who reported them.
- Do I have to participate in anything at an event?
- No. Attending an event obligates you to nothing. Watching, socialising, and leaving early are all complete ways to spend an evening, and nobody vetted into this community will make that strange.
- What is CARNALIFE?
- CARNALIFE is a private membership organization based in Tampa, Florida, serving the kink, fetish, BDSM, and sex-positive lifestyle community across the Southeast United States. Membership includes vetted events, education, coaching, matchmaking, and a venue marketplace.
- Is CARNALIFE a dating app?
- No. CARNALIFE is a private membership organization, and matchmaking through Carnal Affinity is one part of a larger membership. Introductions are made within a vetted community based on real compatibility, guided by our team. There is no swiping and no anonymous browsing.
- How do I become a member?
- You apply. Every application goes through the same process: identity verification with a selfie, a public records check, a reference who will vouch for you, an interview, and review by a real person on our team. Approved members pay dues and hold full membership. The vetting criteria are published, so you can read exactly what we look for before you apply.
- What cities does CARNALIFE serve?
- CARNALIFE is based in Tampa, Florida, and serves the Tampa Bay area first, with membership open to the lifestyle community across the Southeast United States.
- Is CARNALIFE the same as other lifestyle organizations?
